Hello readers, my name is Malav Sejpal and currently studying business in University of Manitoba in Canada. As an international student, I’ve not visited my home country since 2 years. So, I booked a ticket for 29th April in Lufthansa but COVID-19 forced me to live in Winnipeg. I made many plans, booked tickets for travel in India. But suddenly this pandemic really destroyed every plan that I made.

All the classes got canceled and moved to online, well I’m not the guy who can study online but it’s okay it will be open book for finals . But the problem that I’m facing is that I’m still going to work because no one is ready to come for work due to the virus and main concern for me is my rent. At the age of 21 I can ask my parents to pay my fees but how I can ask them to help me pay for my rent and living expenses? Well, the only thing left is to “pray”. My spiritual leader, Pramukh Swami Maharaj always said that “Do the best and leave the rest”. Not everything is in our hands.

Well, that’s the only thing I could tell my parents when I got an email from the airline company that I can’t travel till until further . I felt really upset as I really wanted to spend some quantity and quality time with my family and childhood friends in Rajkot, India. Before I planned about the trip to India, I also planned to go on road trip from Winnipeg to Calgary and other places like Banff for 5 days. But anyways, right now I am working in Walmart, 5 days a week from 6 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon and doing lots of assignments and quizzes online as I had taken 3 core courses.

This is my first article and I really hope you like it. Next time, for sure I’ll be as interesting as I can to help engage you guys. Till that time stay home, stay safe and lets all face the fight to COVID-19 together.
